Jim
Sartwelle is Extension Economist, Risk Management, with Texas Cooperative
Extension based in College Station. Sartwelle joined the Texas A&M
System in November 1997 and was headquartered at Amarillo through August
1999. Previously, he served as Extension Agricultural Economist for
the Kansas State University Cooperative Extension Service for three
years, based in Garden City, Kansas. He holds a bachelor's degree from
Texas A&M University and a Master's degree from Kansas State University,
both in agricultural economics. Sartwelle's Extension and applied research
programs concentrate on policy issues for crop and livestock producers,
livestock marketing, and production economics for Districit 9.
